TSI 150CCE: THE NEW SONIC DRILLING RIG IN COLLABORATION WITH TERRA SONIC INTERNATIONAL
We did it again: another super machine in collaboration with Terra Sonic International, the leader of the SONIC industry, is ready to take the European market.
In 2021 our two companies collaborated to realize the TSi 150AC8 SONIC rig, which combines the unrivaled reliability of the Massenza MM8 drill Rig with the unmatched power and efficiency of the Terra Sonic 150 SONIC Head.
But now it’s time to increase our partnership and take a step further for our products, so we are very proud to announce you the new SONIC rig TSi 150CCE:

So, this compact crawler-mounted SONIC drill rig is a real gem, ideal for tight access applications, projects that require limited workspace and indoor spaces.
This new machine is CE-certified, and the rig’s compact footprint, remote-control tracking and track-mounted design make it perfect for accessing tight areas, indoor spaces and tough terrain.
Not only a union of two powerful machines, our Mi12 drilling rig mounted on a crawler, with the Terra Sonic’s SONIC head, but a new full system, especially designed to provide real SONIC drilling, at maximum power.
Some technical features:
- Rated drilling depth of 304 m (1000 ft) depending on lithology and casing design
- Massenza Mi12 base mounted on crawler (tracks)
- Terra Sonic 150 SONIC head with exclusive SONIC Oscillator: it uses 150 Hz to generate resonant SONIC energy
- Terra Sonic high speed coring head
- Rods and casing automatic handler
- Standard 8.81 m (28 ft 11 in) long mast
- Rig stroke: 4.40 m (14 ft 5 in)
- Mast accommodates 3.00 m (10 ft) sections of tooling or 1.50 m (5 ft) with optional short mast
- Telescopic jib boom with 180° rotation
- Angle drills between vertical and 45°
- FMC W1122 Bean triplex water pump
- Rod charger arm in front of the machine for safe and fast operations
Reliability and experience are two core values for Massenza Drillings Rigs and Terra Sonic International: it was essential for both of us to test the assembled and finished machine at Massenza's premises before transporting and delivering it to the end customer.
In the pictures below you can see the checkup tests conducted by the teams of both companies, in which the machine's motion and power were tested with a ground drill at our warehouse.
